About Mount Beacon Insurance
Mount Beacon Insurance opened its doors in 2014, joining several other Florida property insurance companies in a takeout of policies from state-sponsored Citizens Property Insurance Corp. The company focused mainly on mobile home insurance.
In March of 2017, it was announced that Mount Beacon was one of many Florida insurance companies that were facing mergers after a difficult 2016 storm season. Mount Beacon was acquired by Florida Specialty Insurance.
As of May of 2017, all of Mount Beacon’s policies were absorbed by Florida Specialty. The company is officially out of business and does not write new business, nor do they administer any previously written policies.
Previous Mount Beacon customers are now serviced by Florida Specialty Insurance, which took over 37,000 policies.
