In 1998 Meadowbrook Insurance services acquired AmeriTrust Insurance Corporation, formerly AmeriTrust Bank, and in 2017 took the AmeriTrust name for the entire group. The Meadowbrook name is still in use by Meadowbrook Insurance Agency, one of the company’s subsidiaries.

The company’s headquarters is in Southfield, Michigan, and they sell their products across the country through agents and brokers, including their own agencies. AmeriTrust stock is sold publicly, AmeriTrust home loans are no longer offered, but AmeriTrust worker’s compensation is still sold.
