About HTH Worldwide
HTH Worldwide is a subsidiary of Highway to Health, Inc., which in turn is owned by Anthem. Anthem is a major licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the products listed on the HTH website are, somewhat confusingly, actually GeoBlue products. Insurance is provided by Worldwide Insurance Services, another subsidiary, under the brand name of GeoBlue.
At the time of this review, we ran into a number of difficulties obtaining information from the HTH website, including a number of error and security messages. Not only does that make it difficult to put together an informative review, but it is also a matter of concern regarding how the company is handling online transactions. This concern was further exacerbated by a notice regarding a privacy incident located on the HTH Worldwide site.
Adding to the confusion surrounding this company and its many connections are multiple website addresses, including hthworldwide.com, hthstudents.com, and hthtravelinsurance.com. Links on the site also take the visitor over to the GeoBlue site.
The bottom line here is that, although the company does not make it very clear, HTH Worldwide and GeoBlue are one and the same.

HTH Travel Insurance Products
HTH products are actually GeoBlue products, and a comparison of the plans listed on the website showed them to be identical; we could find no indication that there is any benefit to purchasing these plans through HTH rather than directly on the GeoBlue website.
We have a full breakdown of the plans offered by GeoBlue on our direct review of that company. These plans include:
- Single trip short-term travel medical under the Voyager name
- Multi-trip travel medical plans under the Trekker name
- Ex-pat and long-term travel abroad coverage called Xplorer
- Coverage for missionaries, education, and other group needs under the Navigator name
- Corporate plans for business travel
Rates
We ran rates for GeoBlue products on our review of that company directly, which can be viewed at the link above. Although the HTH Travel Insurance website appears to have its own quoting system, as soon as the information is submitted it redirects over to the GeoBlue site to complete the process.
As noted in that review, we found these plans to be generally very reasonably priced, starting at $10.56 for a single trip plan based on our sample traveler. We received the same rates when starting the quote on the HTH site as provided on our GeoBlue review.
Claims
Neither the HTH Worldwide site nor the GeoBlue site provides information on how claims are handled. There are general customer service phone numbers available, and a member login area where more information may be available.
As with most travel medical insurance plans, we would expect that medical claims are handled through the provider in most cases, although some claims may be processed on a reimbursement basis. GeoBlue has a network of providers across the globe through which claims can be handled directly, but an out of network provider may result in the customer paying up front.

Ratings and Consumer Reviews
HTH Worldwide has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and there is only one complaint on file in the past three years. This is similar to what we found with the GeoBlue name, where again there is an A+ rating and only five complaints on file in the past three years.
Like our GeoBlue review, we found very little to go on in terms of this company’s reputation. The confusion between the brand name and the company behind it may have something to do with it, although the GeoBlue name is fairly well known. A lack of reviews is generally a good thing, as it means a lack of people upset enough to write a complaint online.
The Bottom Line
HTH Worldwide is GeoBlue, and we recommend reading our review of that company, linked above. We also recommend handling your travel insurance shopping with this company directly through the GeoBlue website, which is far less confusing, and to which you will be directed when quoting. GeoBlue has a solid line up of travel insurance products with reasonable prices, as you can see in our comprehensive review found under that name.
