Premier was founded in Roseburg, Oregon in 1996. They are an independent insurance agency, and as such does not underwrite any of the insurance products or policies they sell. They work with some of the biggest names in the insurance industry to provide customers with a selection of policy options. These include Chubb, The Hartford, Foremost, Nationwide, Progressive, and Zurich.

As an agency, Premier specializes in farm insurance, which is not surprising given their location in farm and ranch land. Nationwide Agricultural certifies their farm insurance agents. They also recently moved into insurance for Oregon’s growing winery industry. While this is their area of expertise, the agency also provides a full range of personal lines products including auto insurance, home insurance, and life insurance, as well as commercial products for a variety of businesses.

Because Premier is an agency that represents a variety of insurance companies, rates will vary greatly. The site does offer an online quote request form, but this will be sent to the company so that an agent can contact you. We were unable to locate a direct method of obtaining quotes online.

Claims

While Premier does not handle any claims directly, they do offer a 24-hour customer service line to assist clients with questions or concerns, including claims. This line can help point the policyholder in the right direction and assist with getting a claim filed.

Claims are handled directly by the insurance company through which the policy was issued. Each company has its own adjusters and claims process.

Ratings and Consumer Reviews

Surprisingly, we were unable to locate a Better Business Bureau (BBB) record for this company. They do have a Yelp page, however, there are currently no reviews located there. This is unusual for a company that has been in business this long.

Likewise, we did not have any luck with Google reviews for this company. The company’s website presents a number of quotes from customers, but of course, all of these are positive and cannot be used as a source of objective review.

Generally, no reviews is usually good news for an insurance company or agency as it means no complaints, but it also provides very little information for those seeking to make an informed decision.

The Bottom Line

Without much information on this company, it is difficult to provide a recommendation. Premier Insurance Group does have two decades of service to what is a somewhat small community; longevity within a community is typically a positive sign. If you’re looking for an agent to help you with your insurance needs, they are worth a look, however, we are unable to offer a solid opinion without more information.
